Mourinho admits: “They protect me from myself”

Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has spoken about his emotional state and the atmosphere within the team, TodayPress TV reports.

The Portuguese football manager’s comments were published by the club’s official website.

“For several years now, not just recently, I have felt calmer and have been able to control my emotions better. But there will be difficult and unpleasant situations that we have not yet faced. Such situations have not arisen yet because we won the first match, and so far I have not seen anyone approaching their work carelessly.

I like people not just working for Real Madrid, but working for the benefit of the club. So far, I have not seen any complacency. On the contrary, everyone is trying to give their maximum.

Perhaps the players and club staff themselves are protecting me from showing the darker side of my character. But I am happy with my current state,” Mourinho said.
