Lazio defender Romano Floriani Mussolini made his debut for the club’s first team at Bologna’s Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, which was opened by his great-grandfather Benito Mussolini in 1926, TodayPress TV reports.

Romano Floriani Mussolini is the son of Mauro Floriani and Alessandra Mussolini, the granddaughter of Benito Mussolini.

It should be recalled that Benito Mussolini was the leader of the Italian National Fascist Party and served as Italy’s prime minister from 1922 to 1943.

It should be noted that Romano Floriani joined Lazio on July 1, 2023. However, he had been involved with the club’s first team earlier, beginning in 2021. His contract with Lazio is valid until June 2028.

The Serie A opening-round match between Bologna and Lazio ended with a 1-0 victory for the Rome club.
