Mourinho warns rivals: “There is no weak position in our squad!”
Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has praised the team’s current squad.
TodayPress TV reports, citing the club’s official website, that the Portuguese coach said the squad is balanced and has enough quality players in every position.
“This is a team made up of good, very good and incredibly strong players. There is no weak position in our squad. It is a very balanced team. The squad was built as a result of long-term analysis and communication, without allowing emotions or outside pressure to influence the process.
“We have not made decisions based on political considerations. On one side, there was me and my coaching staff, contributing our technical analysis, while on the other side, the president, José Ángel Sánchez and Juni Calafat contributed their own perspectives. I think that, as a result, we have built a very complete and balanced squad.
“The number of players is optimal. At the moment, a player sitting on the bench knows that he could be in the starting lineup tomorrow. This is not an oversized squad; it is a balanced one. We have two players for every position in accordance with our style of play, and I really like this squad,” Mourinho said.
The coach also emphasized that he was satisfied with the players’ performance in daily training and noted that he had gained only positive impressions of the team after the six-week preparation period.
It should be noted that José Mourinho was presented as Real Madrid’s head coach on August 18. His contract with the Spanish club runs until 2029.
