Imran Khan transferred from prison to hospital
Pakistan’s imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been transferred to a hospital by order of the Supreme Court amid concerns over his health.
TodayPress TV reports that the 73-year-old Khan was taken from Adiala Prison in Rawalpindi to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
The court ordered on August 18 that Khan be transferred to a hospital within 48 hours and examined by a medical team that includes his personal physician.
The decision followed concerns over the deterioration of his health, particularly significant loss of vision in his right eye.
